What the Studio stores
When you save a batch, we store its name, material notes, machine description, stage, your recorded stage decision, dates, next inspection question, observations, and creation/update timestamps. If you upload a photo, the image is stored with that batch. We use the stored data to provide your journal.
How access works
An essential, secure, HTTP-only cookie links this browser to your records and is renewed for up to one year when this browser opens the Studio. Someone who can use the same browser profile may be able to access your Studio. Clearing cookies or using another browser removes that link; the app does not currently provide an account or recovery service.
Backups, retention, and deletion
Records remain in active application storage until you delete them; the service does not promise indefinite retention. Export journal downloads only the visitor-entered batch fields needed to restore the journal. It excludes photos, the browser cookie, internal record IDs and account access. Import adds new records rather than replacing matching names and is limited to 40 total batches. Delete removes one batch and its photo from active application storage. Delete entire Studio removes every accessible batch and photo, then expires the Studio cookie.
Clearing the cookie alone does not delete stored records and can leave them inaccessible. Export what you need and use Delete entire Studio before clearing cookies. Because journals are anonymous, an email address alone cannot identify or recover one after its cookie is lost.
Uploads and service providers
The Studio uses hosting, database, and object-storage services provided through the Sites platform. Upload only photos you have the right to store. Supported uploads are JPG, PNG, and WebP, up to 3 MB per batch photo. One current photo is kept for each batch. Files are stored as received, so remove location or other image metadata before uploading if you do not want it stored.
External sites
Following an external source or affiliate link takes you to a site with its own privacy practices. We do not receive your Amazon payment information or order-account credentials. Infrastructure providers may process technical request logs to operate and protect the service.
