KNOW WHAT GOES INTO A BATCH
Rock tumbler cost calculator
Put a number on electricity and consumables before you start.
Example inputs only. Use your measured average power or clearly identified estimate, electricity tariff, planned run time, and the supplies actually consumed.
YOUR ESTIMATED BATCH COST
Electricity$4.03
Consumables$8.00
Energy used20.16 kWh
Excludes the machine, rough stones, water, taxes, repairs, and your time. Rated watts may differ from actual average draw.
How the calculation works
Energy in kilowatt-hours = average watts × running hours ÷ 1,000. Multiply by your electricity rate, then add the cost of supplies used. Include repeated stages in your running time.
For example, 30 watts over 672 hours uses 20.16 kWh. At $0.20 per kWh, electricity is about $4.03. Those are illustrative inputs, not a measured machine specification.
